3 days of Reading

After my Friday Post, I felt much better - as I suspected writing about my hard time made the rest of the day better and brighter.
Aaron and I had a great dinner out - then I was off to bed early for the 4:30 alarm. The weekend was busy and good. Saturday was spent in Northern Indiana at a volleyball tourney - we played some grate ball! What an excellent way to head into sectionals. Sunday was good neighbor weekend without church. The Church building closed for the weekend and the BODY of Christ took to areas of need in Hamilton and Marion County. Aaron sent the Brookside Church out as well, to "be the Sermon". In the Brookside area it was an amazing site to see the Northview members working along side the Brookside members. THE BODY AT WORK!

Today, I had my 28 week labs and a quick appointment with the DR. All is well - Jeremy had a strong heartbeat and the glucose drink tasted like sunkist (almost). We go back November 4th (PLEASE VOTE) for an ultra sound and see the DR again, that will be 31 weeks ... and We are getting closer to the time that we need to have our plans in place for the arrival of Jeremy.

With a thankful heart the last three days of reading were amazing ....
My Saturday morning reading was fulfilling and allowed me to keep moving forward:
but I press on to take hold of that which Christ Jesus took hold of me. Brothers I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus. Philippians 3:12-14
Paul was still writing from prison, but he knew that there was something glorious ahead. I know there is something glorious ahead - and I will continue to move forward, pressing on toward God. I know he has called me for something - and I am joyful to get closer day by day.

Sunday Reading:
Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Philippians 4:4
two times Paul tells us to rejoice in the Lord ... ALWAYS. Not sometimes but always ... not the easiest thing, but I sure will try!

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving present your requests to God. And the Peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7
With Thanksgiving in our prayers and petitions ... the Peace of God will guard our hearts and minds - THANKSGIVING - sometimes I forget that part. How much greater can my peace be if I honestly enter into authentic thanksgiving to our Lord when I pray and meditate on the word.

Monday Reading:
Finally, brothers whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable - if anything is excellent or praise worthy - think about such things. Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me - put it into practice. And the God of Peace will be with you. Philippians 4:8-9

STORMIE: All things that are true of God are true of Him no matter what is going on inside us or in our lives.

God is Good all the time, All the time God is Good .... I will continue to praise him in all things at all times.

PRAYER: Lord, go out before me in all things. I thank you for the delay at the DR office for Aaron and I to spend and extra 3 hours together. I thank you for the strong beat of Jeremy's heart today and everyday. I thank you for our prayer warriors and ask that you provide for each of them above and beyond their expectations. Continue to heal Jeremy, you have marvelous plans for Jeremy I thank you for the lives he has already touched and will continue to touch. Thank you for your continued strengthening of my heart and protection of my thoughts and tongue. In your name, Amen.

I love that first reading about "keep moving forward". That was my mantra during Ironman. I knew that was all I physically needed to do. Now I see that I need to also be doing that spiritually. (Well, my physical needs help too but I will get there again)

Keep moving forward...I have to remember that prescription!

Rest up! You sounded tired yesterday.
