Clinging

Last night Aaron and I read devotion title Clinging to God - what an appropriate title.
I find that in times of trouble we tend to cling tight to God and anything that makes us feel safe - I pray that I will in the next year - cling tighter to God when things are good, and I am certain 2009 will be good! I pray to cling all the time.

"I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live;
That you may love the Lord your God, that you may obey His voice, and that you may cling to Him, for He is your life and the length of your days; and that you may dwell in the land which the Lord swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give them." Deuteronomy 30:19-20

lesson
Have you ever seen a scared or troubled child "clinging" to Mommy's skirt or Daddy's pants with all his or her might? This is the picture I get when I read this promise. As parents grow in their relationship with God, more and more, they assume the posture of "clinging" to the Creator in times of trouble and in the midst of a very wicked world. This impresses the minds of children, often compelling them to maintain the same stance. People of this world tend to cling to a rope that unravels - and they often perish as a result: mentally, emotionally, and even physically. God's offspring cling to an unbreakable chain of hope in God's promises. At the end is the "anchor of the soul" going beyond the veil of time

prayer
LORD GOD, I first confess that not only do I believe in You, I also "cling" to You. In times of difficulty, my intentions are to hold on to You will all my might. I pray You will awaken this depth of dependency in my son. Instead of "clinging" to the things of the world for fulfillment and satisfaction, may Jeremiah Parker Shelby always "cling" to You - with a tenacity that will never let go. I confess that this kind of spiritual stick-to-itiveness will be the prevailing attitude of my child's heart all the days of his life - in Jesus' Name, AMEN (let it be so!)

In one week we will have either met Jeremy, or the process will have started and we will soon meet this little man so many of us are ready to meet. What an amazing thought as I enter the new year - 2009 ...

Please be safe tonight, as my Dad always says " It is amateur night" .. meaning people do VERY silly things on this nght of the year - so stay off the roads.
Aaron and I will go for an early dinner then be in ... not even sure we will make it to midnight, so please if you are going out, have fun - and be safe.
Next post ... Next Year!

A Real Blessing

from our devotion last night:

Children are a gift from the Lord; they are a real blessing Psalm 127:3

lesson
When God first appeared to Abraham, He promised, "I will bless you ... and you will be a blessing ... and in you all the families of the earth will be blessed" (Genesis 12:2-3). Late on he pledged, " in your seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed" (Genesis 2:18). God promised to bless Abraham by giving him children, then God promised to use those children to bless all the families of the earth and every nation.
What a blessing it is to have children who bear your image, both naturally and spiritually! What a blessing to have them return your love! What a blessing to see them mature and fulfill their dreams! What an even greater blessing it is to see them bless others with the truth and expand God's blessing around the globe! I claim this status - of being a "real blessing" - for you and yours!

prayer
LORD GOD, I know the Scripture announces that those who are "of faith" are "blessed with faithful Abraham." I declare that one f my greatest blessings will be the continuation of God's blessing through my offspring. I confess that Jeremiah Parker Shelby is, and will be, a great blessing to me, but more importantly, he will be a blessing to You and to many others during his sojourn in this world. May this blessing of God flow so powerfully through Jeremiah Parker Shelby that it ultimately extends around the globe in its influence - in Jesus' name, Amen (LET IT BE SO) !

Jeremy was very active this morning and all I could do was praise God, he is so good. It felt like Jeremy was trying to stretch out his legs (which according to the ultra sounds should be long) and working his arms too ... what a wonderful feeling. I am looking forward to meeting him and loving him for eternity.

Today I will be heading to the Children's Museum with my sister, the twins and the 3 mo old little guy ... not sure how long any of us will last, but it will be nice to get out and be around people.

Finally, yesterday Aaron and I received a Christmas card with this scripture enclosed:
The good news is, with all the challenges of today, our God is still working things out, We must trust Him and never doubt.
They That Wait ...
Why do you say, O Jacob,
and complain, O Israel,
"My way is hidden from the Lord;
my cause if disregarded by my God"?
Do you know know?
Have you not heard?
The Lord is the everlasting God,
the Creator of the ends of the earth.
He will not grow tired or weary,
and his understanding no one can fathom.
He gives strengthto the weary
and increases the power of the weak.
Even youths grow tired and weary,
and young men stumble and fall;
BUT those who hope in the LORD
will renew their strength..
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint.
Isaiah 40:27-31

Let the Count Down Begin!

Well, sorta .... nothing has changed regarding my body being ready for Jeremy's arrival during our visit today - so we set an induction date for next week ... we will go in on January 6th at 6:30 pm and begin the induction ar 7am on the 7th. After a full 40 weeks, we will finally get to meet this little man ... Jeremiah Parker!

I hope the outfits we have prepared for him will fit, the guess is about 7lbs .... but we will know soon enough. Not sure what emotions will surface over the next week, but I do know that I can lean on God and HE will be right there with Aaron and I ... along with our wonderful Prayer Warriors!

Thank you all for continued prayers - and if things begin to happen on their own, we will be sure to let everyone know! :)

39 weeks

Today marks 39 weeks of Pregnancy, GLORY TO GOD! Although I am becoming increasingly uncomfortable - I love it. God is good. Already an answer to prayer, Jeremy had an active night and I woke up early this morning with some low tightening of my belly - this could be the start. It has not happened again - but I am increasingly aware ... I even asked Aaron (who left to preach this morning) to keep his phone on His body today - not to leave it in his office. Which is usually what he does when he preaches. But, so far no more feelings like the one that woke me up this morning. Just typical Jeremy moves, he was pretty quite yesterday - so I anticipate a busier day for him today.

When we do go in, the Labor and Delivery room does have a computer so we will be able to update the blog and check emails -so we will certainly be able to keep everyone posted.

I want to share the promise we read last night:
The Glory of God
Let your work appear to Your servants, and Your glory to their children. Psalm 90:16

lesson: Moses wrote psalm 90 by the influence of the Holy Spirit. We know this because - "All scripture is given by the inspiration of God (2 Timothy 3:16). The word "inspiration" means to breath into. So this was much more then just a prophet interceding for the nation of Israel. It was the Holy Spirit, "breathing" into that prophet a petition concerning all God's people of every era.
Whenever the Holy Spirit prays, the Father answers - without a doubt. So according to this inspired prayer - if we are truly "servants" of God, we can fully expect to see God work in our lives and manifest His glory to our children.
Primarily, the glory of the Lord is His manifested presence (as happened on Mount Sinai, in the Temple of Solomon, and the Upper Room). It also speaks of demonstrations of His power that bring honor and praise to His Name. The Holy Spirit has already interceded these things over our children through Moses. It is our responsibility to believe, confess and praise God for the fulfillment of this divine design.

prayer:
LORD GOD, I declare that I am a servant of God. I renew ,y commitment to serve Your purposes in this world. Because I am yielded this way, I expect You to work in my life and I expect to participate in Your works in this world. I also confess, by faith in this promise, that Your glory will be manifested to my son. I praise you for supernaturally revealing your power and your greatness to Jeremiah Parker Shelby that praise might flow from his life upward to Your throne. Lord, I trust You to do glorious things - in my child, for my child and through my child - that will bring glory to Your Name forevermore - AMEN. (let it be so!)

PRAISES:
Aaron completed the painting of Jeremy's room Friday ... the red is covered, but some of the black writing is coming through - Aaron will do more primer then another coat of the caramel color - it is such a relaxing color ... I look forward to spending time in that room! I will post pictures of the transition when it is complete.

Christmas - we made it.

We met another milestone yesterday - December 25th, Christmas Day. Which of course brings us another day closer to the arrival of Jeremy. Who is still growing and moving.

Aaron and I filled the day with family. We are so blessed that both of our families are still here in town. At the most, a 25 min drive. Everyone is on the Northside of Indy - so it was easy for us to make the rounds and actually spend time with each side of the family. The other big blessing, both sides are very laid back about the amount of time spent in each location - or if they are feeling slighted - we never know.

The day was great, we ate great food and were both exhausted at the end of the day. Last night I actually slept for 3 hours before having to get up to use the bath room - on 3 occasions! I feel like I actually slept through the night. YEAH:) What is strange, I woke up the final time to thunder ... in December!

my morning read:
"The path of the righteous is like the first gleam if dawn, shining ever brighter till the full light of day" Proverbs 4:18
" For I know the plans I have for you" declares the Lord, "Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plan to give you hope and a future" Jeremiah 29:11

prayer:
Lord, I ask that You would give me total peace about my future. I reach out for Your hand today so that I can walk with you into the plans you have for me especially regarding Jeremy's birth and life. I stand if faith that you have a prefect plan and have prepared the time for his birth. I know that you have prepared the Doctors, nurses and support staff that will provide the best care for Jeremy, Aaron and me. We know that You can do all things, because we believe in You and the truth of Your promises. AMEN.

Today - I hope Aaron completes the painting in Jeremy's room. I have some thank yous to write .... and have a lazy rainy, thunder storming day.

Looking ahead - Sunday we hit 39 weeks and have a Dr appointment Monday morning - maybe something will be happening, we are so looking forward to meeting Jeremy! In His Time.

wonderful ...

Such a great word ... not just for Christmas. Again, what a perfect gift we receive in Jesus.

Wonderful Counselor
Today's Scripture
“For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; and the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace” (Isaiah 9:6 NKJ).

Today's Word from Joel and Victoria
Do you need wisdom or direction in your life today? The scripture tells us that Jesus is our Counselor. And He’s not just any kind of Counselor, He’s our wonderful Counselor! When something is wonderful, it is unusually good, marvelous or astonishing. God is a marvelous, astonishing Counselor—the very best you could ever have! When you seek Him and follow His commands, He’ll work in your life in ways you never thought possible. He’ll give you the best advice. He’ll give you the best guidance. In fact, He’ll take you places that you never dreamed.

Remember, God is a rewarder of the people who seek after Him, so seek Him as your Counselor. Let Him show You the good plan He has for you. Let Him direct and guide your path. As you trust and seek Him, He’ll bless and prosper you and lead you in the abundant life He has prepared for you.

A Prayer for Today
Father in heaven, You are my Wonderful Counselor! I submit my ways to You knowing that You have a good plan for me and that You will direct my paths. Thank You for Your wisdom in every area of my life. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Finally, in addition to prayers continued for Jeremy ... my mothers family lives in the pacific northwest ... Portland, Seattle and Yreka, California (northern cali) They have received so much snow that roads are closed and travel is not encouraged. I pray that they remain warm and safe over these days and if possible will be able to spend time together.

MERRY CHRISTMAS - and MANY BLESSINGS!

Unto Us

Unto us ... we hear these words every Christmas regarding the birth of the Savior Jesus Christ. Today when I read Joel, more insight was given regarding what was brought to us through the birth of Christ. As I anticipate the birth of Jeremy I have a new perspective on birth and what we received as a human race because of this one birth.

We have all been given a gift that I am sure we will never be able to fully wrap our heads around until we are in his presence. But the small part that I do understand changed my life forever. As I continue to learn about the promises, walking in faith and what trusting God provides access to - I am humbled and covered with His love that I can never earn but has been freely given to me.

Unto Us
Today's Scripture

“For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; and the government will be upon His shoulder…” (Isaiah 9:6a NKJ).
Today's Word from Joel and Victoria
When Jesus came to the earth in human form, He brought with Him everything you need to be empowered to live a life of victory. He came as a little baby, but He represented all authority in heaven and earth. When you choose to serve Him, you are no longer a part of the kingdom of the world; you become a part of His kingdom, and you have access to all of His resources.

You have access to His peace, power, authority, provision, joy and strength. He brought all of this to us. Unto us victory is given. Unto us peace is given. Unto us provision is given. Unto us hope and healing are given. Unto us eternal life is given!

Whatever you need today, remember, when Jesus came into the world, He made a way for every one of your needs to met spiritually, emotionally, and physically. Take hold of His promises by faith, knowing that He has good plans for you today!

A Prayer for Today
Father in heaven, thank You for sending Your Son, Jesus, so that I could be free to live an abundant life in You. Fill me with the revelation of Your love and all that You have for me. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

As we get busy in the hustle of the season, I pray that everyone will take time to thank God for the best gift we have ever received and bask in His Love for each of us. There is nothing that can compare to the Love Our Father showers on us - knowing this .... I will stand strong as the journey with Jeremy prepares to change.

GRACE AND PEACE!

nothing

Jeremy is not ready .... I will go back to the Dr. Monday the 29th to see if anything has progressed. That is just fine with me.

My Dr is off this week and will be on next week - so we can look to induce if needed and continue to work with "our" Dr.

Again, trying to have as much control as possible - I do know we are kidding ourselves ... we are never really in control.

I am going to take a nap - might post more later.

38 weeks!

We are 38 weeks today! How awesome is that. PRAISE GOD!
Friday night our life group gathered, and all the ladies said I was still getting bigger (this is the first time in my life that getting bigger is s good thing). We all saw each other at the start of the week ... what a blessing that Jeremy continues to grow and move.

We see the DR tomorrow and see if there is any indication of Jeremy and my body preparing for birth ... I know with a first child that can sometimes take time. Which is actually okay. I truly enjoy being pregnant - this I can do. Of course the next step is off into the unknown, and that is why my special nurse says that if I could I would stay pregnant forever:)

I am getting ready to head down to Brookside for our annual Christmas dinner, I opted not to go for the church service and the super long day. But will meet Aaron about 12. Then spend the time sitting - I hope. Yesterday was Share The Blessing - the children in the Brookside Community were blessed with Christmas gifts from the families of Northview Christian Life. This was an amazing day ( that I only heard about this year, as I did not go). I am not sure who feels the stronger blessing ... the giver or the receiver. Why not Both! Over the 3 years that Aaron and I have been involved with the Brookside Community each year it gets better and better - sharing the love of Christ is empowering. A number of the Northview families have decided to come along side the Brookside Families - they offer support with out enabling a continued life of need. What a special way to grow the Kingdom!

have a blessed day ... we see the Dr @ 1pm tomorrow.

Time to rest and prepare

Well, we made it - we finished the semester and Jeremy is continuing to grow, move and keep me up. PRAISE GOD!

Now, there is really time to wait, well sorta - there is the holiday next week that has been virtually ignored at our house. We have our tree up and some decorations are out, but none of the typical purchases have been made ... the question is will they? Maybe just a few things, if I can do a one stop shopping experience. I just do not want to be 1, out in the cold and 2 spend the day walking around.

Next mile stone - Christmas Day, then New Years ... then Jeremy's arrival.

Also what crept in yesterday that I was not expecting, as I left school with a few of my personal things loaded into the car - was a sense of sadness. I have spent 11 years as a teacher at North Central ( I also spent my own 4 high school years there, and all my school days In Washington Township) It has become part of who I am. To drive away, knowing that I am not returning in January was a strange, bittersweet feeling. I suppose also creeping in is the deep set reality that Jeremy will for certain arrive sometime in the next 2 weeks. And will that bring complete uncertainty in what that experience will bring. Since this is our first child the entire idea of birth in a first hand experience is totally new. Add on that we have no idea how long we will get to love Jeremy here on earth and that becomes heavy on my heart - until I realize I am not in control of that and what ever God has planned will be perfect ( or at least some day I will understand that it was perfect).

I just do not want to be afraid. Which of course when I opened my email from Joel was the title of the devotion ...
Do Not Be Afraid
Today's Scripture
“…an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream. ‘Joseph, son of David,’ the angel said, ‘do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife. For the child within her was conceived by the Holy Spirit’” (Matthew 1:20, NLT).
Today's Word from Joel and Victoria
Have you ever felt overwhelmed or even afraid of what God has called you to do? Maybe you were pursuing a dream or goal and things didn’t turn out the way you planned. Joseph had planned to take Mary as his wife, but when he found out she was pregnant, he didn’t know what to think. He was afraid that he was making a mistake because things didn’t turn out the way he thought they should. But God sent a messenger, an angel in a dream, to reassure Joseph and remind him that he was on the right path.Friend, let me reassure you today, God knows right where you are, and He knows how to get you where you need to be. Even when things don’t go the way you planned, He has His hand on you. Do not be afraid, trust that God is working behind the scenes on your behalf and that He will lead you into the life of blessing that He has prepared for you!
A Prayer for Today
Father in heaven, I choose to trust in You. Even when things don’t go the way I planned, I know You are at work in my life. Thank You for Your perfect love which casts out all fear. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

I will continue to walk in Faith - trusting God at all times. I know God understands the few breakdowns and questions that I ask, he is then able to comfort me and add peace that passes all understanding. I am ever thankful for that.

GRACE AND PEACE!

another milestone

Today we hit another milestone ... today is the last student day of the semester. One of my goals this semester was to finish. Today I have one final to give - grades are in for my other classes ... then I only need to prep my room for my sub. Praise God!

I did meet my sub yesterday, I think he will be GREAT. We are  going to meet again today so I can share my "wealth" of jewelry knowledge. He seems to be an eager learner and I am sure a quick study.

Last week a friend from school sent me an encouraging statement of confession from Dr Bridget Hillard ... I have been speaking it over Jeremy in the morning, and sometimes through the day. In the statement it speaks of Children are like Olive Plants around the table .... what does that mean .... why olive plants?

Last night  when Aaron and I picked the devotion from the Promises book one was titled Olive Plants.... so not  only did we have  a great devotion, we also LEARNED!
"Your wife shall be like a fruitful vine in the very heart of your house, your children like olive plants all around your table" Psalm 128:3

devotion/ lesson
There are three primary aspects to this wonderful promise
  1. Fruit bearers - The main emphasis is that olive trees bear fruit. Symbolically, this means that the children of God's people will be fruit bearers. They will bear fruit of the Spirit (the character of God), the fruit of good works and the fruit of souls welcomed into the kingdom.
  2. Spiritually hardy - Olive trees are also very hardy plants that can grow well in rough and rocky terrain. So the children of the righteous should be very capable - through the grace of God - handle the rough rocky territory they face in life.
  3. Anointed - Olive oil is a strong, Biblical symbol for the anointing of the Holy Spirit. The anointing is even referred to "the oil of gladness" and the "oil of joy" (Psalm 45:7 Hebrews 1:9 Isaiah 61:3). So God is promising that the children of the righteous will be producers of the anointing - that they will manifest the power of God as they minister the truth to others.
Prayer:
LORD GOD, on the basis of Psalm 128:3, I pray my child will be an olive plant at my table, that Jeremiah Parker Shelby will bear much fruit and be a blessing to others and a praise to God in the earth. If he faces rough and rocky places in life, I believe my child will be able to endure with the help of God. I confess that the "oil of gladness" (the anointing of the Holy Spirit) will flow through Jeremy powerfully to extend the Kingdom of God in this world. I speak these things knowing that your Word will not return void. It will accomplish what you have declared - in Jesus' Name, AMEN (let it be so!)

What a powerful teaching/devotion last night. Sticking to me, Jeremy is already a blessing to me and others, and he is not even here yet. How much more powerful when he does arrive ... sometime in the next 2 weeks.

Still celebrating this milestone day ... tomorrow's milestone our Life Group Christmas gathering ... :)

The Outpouring

from God's Promises for your Children:

The Outpouring of God's Blessing
"For I will pour water on him who is thirsty, and floods on the dry ground; I will pour my Spirit on your descendants and My blessing on your offering. They will spring up among the grass like willows by the watercourses." Isaiah 44:3-4

devotion:
In this passage, God promises to our out two things on the children of those who thirst after Him: His Spirit and His blessing. A blessings is any benefit from God that causes happiness, fulfilment, or wholeness in a person's life. When God pours out his blessing on our children, we can expect their needs to be met; physically, materially, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.

Blessed children are happy children. They do not have fragmented personalities and are not empty-hearted. They are fulfilled and contented, walking in God's purpose. They tend to then pass the blessing on to others that the blessing of God might fill the earth.

prayer:
LORD GOD, I thank You by faith for Your blessing descending on my child. Let it pour down like the rain of heaven. I believe that this divine blessing will be evidenced in every area of my child's life: physically, mentally, socially, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. Your Word declares that "the blessing of the Lord makes one rich and He adds no sorrow with it" Thank You for enriching Jeremiah Parker Shelby with all the benefits that You have promised in Your Word - crowning his life with the best that heaven can provide - in Jesus' Name, AMEN (let it be so!)

Aaron and I read this devotion last night, it was too powerful to share. What is already evident, how Jeremy, before his arrival has poured out the blessing of the Lord on Aaron and me. It is simply a matter of opening our eyes and seeing it. Just imagine what is to come!

GRACE AND PEACE!
okay - sorry I had to add the Word from joel, ever encouraging!

An Opportunity for God’s Favor
Today's Scripture
“It was not because of his sins or his parents’ sins,” Jesus answered. “This happened so the power of God could be seen in him” (John 9:3 NLT).
Today's Word from Joel and Victoria
In the Bible, we read of a man who was born blind. Some people were asking Jesus, “Why was he born this way?” “Whose fault was it, his or his parents?” They were trying to find someone to blame, some reason, some excuse for his condition. And interestingly, we tend to do the same type of thing today. But I love the way Jesus answered them; He said, “It’s not anybody’s fault. The reason this man was born this way was so that the goodness of God could be displayed in his life.” Then He touched the man and healed him. When you have a setback, when life deals you a tough blow, when the economy is unstable, don’t get bitter. Don’t settle there. Recognize you are a prime candidate for God to show His favor and goodness through. When the storms of life come, your attitude should be, “God, I’m ready! I know You have something great in store! I refuse to live defeated and depressed. I know this difficulty is simply another opportunity for You to show Your goodness through me.”
A Prayer for Today
Heavenly Father, thank You for choosing to show Your glory and goodness through me. I choose to stand in faith, knowing that You are working all things out for my good. I bless You and thank You for Your faithfulness! In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
for real ... GRACE AND PEACE!

Speak what you Seek

Declare what is to be .... Isaiah 45:21
prayer:
Precious Heavenly Father, today I commit the words of my mouth to You. I determine to speak Your thoughts of victory over my life and the lives of those around me. Help me stay focused on Your Word today, knowing that You have promised that I can do all things with You on my side. Amen.

Yesterday was the final shower with the girls ... what a fun day. It was so nice to see everyone ... and of course receive encouragement ( and multiple pampering items!) One of my friend made a scrapbook of this blog. She printed off all the posts, pictures and even added embellishments - WOW! IT is really cool. She even provided extra pages, knowing that I would be writing more. Another friend made a rag blanket (she actually brought it over last week so we could take it to the hospital ... but she is adding quilt squares. Each guest wrote on a square and she will add them to the quilt. Her hope is to have the blanket done before we go to the hospital, but regardless it is very cool!

Following the shower, most of the girls came over to my house and wrote on Jeremy's walls. They are getting filled ... almost to the point that Aaron and I are not sure about painting over the walls ... Maybe that is just Aaron not wanting to paint:) We have taken pictures of the walls, and I think maybe we should also write everything down. Jeremy is so loved - that is overwhelming ... in a good way.

So again, I started this post early in the day ... and now I am home from the Doctor. The appointment went well. Heartbeat good, size good ... cervix not ready. Which is fine with me. Actually, it is just starting to lengthen and I go back next Monday (38 weeks) and we will see what is up then. Pleasantly, Jeremy has been active today. There are no more worries about the fluid levels and now we just wait for Jeremy to be ready and my body to do what it is made for.

The school day went well, my students can be so great:) This is how teachers remember classes, even if everyday is not wonderful - at the end of the semester if they are considerate, helpful and on task - that is what we remember. They were today. Maybe they missed me last week?? :)

Anyway, I am ready for a nap - I know I will finish the school semester strong! Thank you again for all the prayers - know that you all are covered in prayer as well!

GRACE AND PEACE!

37 weeks!

Today, Jeremy is 37 weeks:)
According to Dr, he is full term. GLORY TO GOD! How amazing is that, and he is active today ... I rejoice in that truth!

I did not travel to Brookside this morning, instead I remained in a lounging position. I was able to watch Charles Stanley, Joel Osteen and listen to 2 podcasts from Greg Boyd ( The pastor at Woodland Hills Church in Minneapolis) I was still able to hear the Word ... many of them!

Charles Stanley Preached about Anxiety ... from Philippians. This book was written when Paul was in a Roman prison, with every reason to be anxious and fearful .... but he was not.

Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable - if anything is excellent or praiseworthy - think about such things. Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me - put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you. Philippians 4:4-9

Joel Osteen talked about Advocating Faith not Fear - he did not use the same verses ... but he could have. Both spoke on how we can make choices. If we choose to trust, follow and obey God, we have reason to praise Him and rejoice with thanksgiving in all things.

When I think about this pregnancy, we were given a very grim and poor prognosis - but still Aaron and I have spoken the Glory of God over Jeremy every day - as have our prayer warriors. These words and thoughts have provided a peace that transcends all understanding. I know that God will take care of us, he will provide the strength that we need and we get that strength from the body of Christ and the Promises of God. We have a model to follow, Jesus. Imagine Paul was in as bad a situations as possible and still He was able to rejoice, following and trusting Jesus. HOW AWESOME! That is the model to follow. That is what I choose. EVERY DAY!

NOW I WILL GO IN A DIFFERENT DIRECTION ... my enjoyment of podcasts ...
Greg Boyd ... spoke in what it means to be a disciple and doing Gods will ... giving up all to carry the cross for the Kingdom. He was speaking from Luke 14: 15 -23 and 14:25-34.

At Woodland Hills they simply go through the Bible, verse by verse. I have been listening for the past year and I believe they started Luke 3years ago, Greg Boyd is a teacher with a pretty amazing story. I enjoy the teaching - going deeper into the word. Typically I listen to podcasts while creating jewelry - so during the vb season I get a back up of sermons to listen to ... in addition to Greg Boyd, I also listen to Rob Bell from Mars Hill Bible Church in Grandville, Michigan. Both of these pastors have moved from the burbs, to the inner city in their communities. They teach often about going to the people who are in most need of hearing the promises of God ... sounds like my husband:) I think that is one reason that I am drawn to both of these Churches. They are also great teachers of the Word. Both churches I plan to visit, one day. ANYWAY - sorry for the diversion, just one more place that I find myself filled with the word of God.

This afternoon is the final shower, this one will be as great as the others - I am looking forward to the fellowship.

We return to the Dr tomorrow ... 2:15, I trust that God only knows how tomorrow will go - If God is ready for us to meet Jeremy - so are we! I do think I have grown more, physically, due to the itchy stretchy feel across my belly. I pray that is the building of more fluid ...

HAVE A BLESSED DAY!

The Body!

The Body of Christ is simply amazing!

last night our house was filled with friends and family - all brothers and sisters in Christ. One of Aaron's co-worker hosted a gathering for Aaron and I, it was supposed to be at a different location - but we ended up having everyone to our house. I love a full house. What was a little different - I did not do "ANYTHING" i sat on my keister while friends brought in and set up great food ( Aaron's co-worker is a pretty amazing cook) then listened while the kitchen was cleaned following the event. That is certainly the way to host a gathering ... :) Last night the walls in Jeremy's room were filled with scripture, words of Love and encouragement. I read through last night and look forward to doing it again today. Similar to Wednesday night, it is humbling to witness all the love and support of Jeremy.

Today, Aaron will go to school with me to help prepare for next week - finals. It is very helpful that he used to work in the same building .... that is a blessing! He can be my legs.

wheew - what a day:) I started this post early today (7 am) and now it is 5:30 pm.

After spending the first half of the day sitting on the couch writing thank you notes, Aaron and I went to school. We spent about an hour and a half getting the finals ready, grading some papers and making copies ... as well as assessing the state of my class rooms. It is always nice to have a sub that leaves a nice note - that my classes all worked and were polite. The rooms were also pretty tidy, considering they are Art Studios. I am ready to return on Monday. Aaron ran the copies needed and checked my mail box, twice. He was really my legs.

Then we headed to Lowes for "carmel" paint. Aaron will begin with priming the walls Monday and then hopefully be done painting Wednesday. The room right now is red, winnie the pooh shirt red - so it may be a task to cover the paint. The guy at Lowes helped us out, and I feel confident that we will be successful.

The remainder of the evening will be spent watching basketball and a movie ... just resting. Tomorrow is the final shower, I am looking forward to seeing the girls, it wail be another fun day. What a whirlwind of showers, 3 in 6 days. But very wonderful, to be around great people of the Kingdom.

GRACE AND PEACE!

untitled

It is Friday ... even though I have been home all week I am glad it is Friday. I was not really made to sit on my tail all day and watch TV , write thank you notes, or read. BUT I will do it for Jeremy. I am looking froward to returning to school Monday, we start Finals and that is the last full student day of the year. My heart goes out to my students that have been completing final projects on their own - I am looking forward to seeing how they solved various problems that I am sure occurred. Also next week I will meet my Sub for next semester, there are just a few things about the Jewelry Studio that he will need to be introduced to - he should have fun!

Yesterday my Sisters and a good friend came over and cleaned house - that was wild. Sitting on the couch directing ... there were nieces and a nephew too ... 4year old, twin 2 year olds and a 3 month old baby ( he was easy to watch!) The girls stayed busy, wow they have great imaginations. But the moms did an excellent job! Jeremy's room is clear, the walls are ready to be written on, then Aaron will paint next week, during his "vacation".

I am a do it yourself girl, so yesterday was a first for me!
And I liked it! :)

A word from Joel:
His System Remains
Today's Scripture

“Then Isaac sowed in that land, and received in the same year an hundredfold: and the Lord blessed him” (Genesis 26:12, KJV).

Today's Word from Joel and Victoria
Have you heard the saying, “ What goes around comes around? ” In reality, that saying is based on the principle in God’s Word of sowing and reaping. Everything you have in your life today is a result of seeds sown in your past. It is a spiritual principle that remains no matter what is going on in the natural realm. Harvest time always comes, but you have to do your part and sow good seeds in order to see a good harvest.

For years, Isaac had been praying and seeking God. He worked so hard and dug many wells in the land. When famine and desolation hit, Isaac wasn’t moved. He sowed seed even in the midst of famine and reaped a hundredfold in the same year! This is a reminder to us today, no matter what things look like in the natural realm, God’s system isn’t shaken. Maybe you’ve been working hard for the last few years, praying and believing God. Don’t be shaken by what’s happening in the world around you. Keep sowing, keep believing, keep praying because God is faithful, and He will pour out an abundant harvest of blessing in every area of your life!

A Prayer for Today
Father in heaven, thank You for Your system of sowing and reaping. I choose to stand on Your Word because You are faithful. Bless the seed I have sown so that I can continue to be a blessing to others around me. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

What started as a less then normal week, has allowed me to accept that Jeremy will be here sometime in the next 3 weeks. I have had the opportunity this week to sit and enjoy his movements through the day and imagine his little face, what he will look like in the adorable overalls my mother brought over and swaddled in blankets. I have been able to see Aaron holding him - in his strong arms, Jeremy just a little guy. This has been an excellent week to slow down and really enjoy Jeremy. What a blessing.

another pix

This is another fav ... :) thought I would share
Jess is simply awesome!

we always have two choices

Through out this journey, I have been asked why am I so "okay" with things. My response - we always have two choices ... we can curl up into a ball and wallow or simply keep putting one foot in front of the other and lean completely on God and those he has placed around us ...

today's word from Joel is right on ... had to share!

Choose Life
Today's Scripture

“…I have set before you life and death, the blessings and the curses; therefore choose life…” (Deuteronomy 30:19, AMP)
Today's Word from Joel and Victoria
Every day we have the opportunity to choose thoughts of life and victory or choose thoughts of defeat and despair. God promises that when we choose His ways, we are choosing life and victory.Imagine that you’re holding a glass of dirty water. It’s full of all kinds of particles, sand, and dirt. If you were to start pouring good, clean water into that glass and let it overflow, eventually, all the dirty water would be gone and you would have a glass of perfectly clear water. Your life works the same way. You are renewed by the washing of the water of the Word of God. You may be carrying particles of dirt from the past. You may have old destructive habits or mindsets that you are trying to get rid of. But the more you pour God’s Word into yourself, the more clean and alive everything becomes. Don’t choose to sit around with that mucky, dirty water on the inside of you. Allow His Word to cleanse you by reading and declaring it over yourself every day. As you choose His Word, you choose His life, and you’ll experience His hand of blessing in ways you never dreamed!
A Prayer for Today
Father in heaven, thank You for Your promise of life and blessing. I choose life in You today and invite You to wash me with Your Word. Help me to stay close to You always. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

GLORY .... This word is even more powerful following the amazing evening I spent last night with super strong ladies in my life. Last night was the first of 3 showers planned for Aaron and I. The one last evening was hosted by three dear friends that I teach with - they really blew me away. Of course, I was concerned that all their planning would have been wasted had we been admitted yesterday - so one more prayer answered - and following the event I knew I was supposed to be there. What a testament to the Kingdom and the Body of Christ as work.

Of course, it was not a typical shower, there were no baby gifts ... instead this was a Mommy Blessing Ceremony - taken from the Navajo Indians. Each guest brought a bead, (or two) they will be used to create a necklace ... Each guest also read something regarding the significance of the bead (some gave me a note for me to read later). What a humbling experience for me. Again I was reminded I am not alone. On multiple occasions there was not a dry eye in the room. We ended with a prayer circle - To say thank you to these special ladies is not near enough, some how I will continue to show my gratitude for each of them, last night was simply awesome. I Thank God everyday for all the special people that have been brought to me - the Lord is so good. HE constantly surprises me and supports me .... these ladies are all angels on earth.

The remaining events will be equally awesome, and I am now more then ever looking forward to seeing even more of God working in the lives of those around me.

We are home again!

Praise be to God ... the fluid levels were up. So although our bags are packed and we were ready to stay at the hospital - we are home.

The plan is to continue to rest, which is not the most exciting thing to do, but I will do anything for Jeremy. ... and to help my body prepare for his arrival.

We return to the Dr. Monday, 12/15, for our 37 week appointment ... and to see if anything is happening.

Thank you all for Prayers ....

victory minded

Be Victory-Minded ... from Joel

Today's Scripture
“The Lord is my strength and my song; He has given me victory” (Psalm 118:14, NLT).

Today's Word from Joel and Victoria
Do you need more joy, victory, and confidence in your life today? You might need to evaluate what you are thinking about on a daily basis. If you go around thinking things like, “I’m just average,” “I’ve already reached my limits,” or, “I’ve missed so many good opportunities,” those thoughts are going to drag you down. Instead, every morning when you wake up, start your day with thoughts of hope and success. Determine to be victory-minded. The Bible tells us that what we think about we will become. When you think thoughts of success, victory, joy and peace, your life will be filled with success, victory, joy, and peace.
No matter what’s going on in the world around you, remember, as a believer in Jesus, greater is He who is in you than he that is in the world. The Greater One lives inside of you! If God is for you, who can be against you? You are an overcomer through Christ. So set your mind on victory and move forward into the abundant life He has for you!

A Prayer for Today
Father in heaven, thank You for the gift of another day! I choose to be victory-minded and think on good things today. Remind me, Holy Spirit, to stay focused on the blessings and favor that You have in store for me. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Today has been a good day of rest and to begin to imagine how awesome it will be to meet Jeremiah Parker ... when God is ready to move, who am I to question. My sisters and my mother came over for lunch today - my mom brought the newborn outfit for Jeremy - TOO CUTE:) It is washed and ready. I will spend time this evening before bed preparing the bags for the hospital, just in case we stay tomorrow. Our appointment is at 8am, so we should have a better idea of how to proceed ... I will try to post something before noon. Thank you for continued prayers!

GRACE AND PEACE!

Day of rest ...

During my day of rest, this is the word from Joel.

Detox Your Mind
Today's Scripture
“Above all else guard your heart for it affects everything you do” (Proverbs 4:23).
Today's Word from Joel and Victoria
These days, we hear a lot about detoxing our physical bodies. Bacteria can build up. Pesticides and chemicals can get into our system. Experts recommend that you go through a deep cleansing periodically and stay away from what is harmful so you can rid yourself of these toxins.

In the same way, there are all kinds of toxins that can build up in our minds. When we go around dwelling on the wrong thoughts, thinking about what we can’t do, how somebody hurt us, or how we’ll never get ahead; those thoughts are toxic. And toxic thoughts left alone become like toxic waste. It gets into your heart, and eventually, contaminates your whole life. It affects your self-image, your attitude, and your level of confidence. That’s why the Bible tells us that we have to guard our hearts and minds above all else because if your mind gets polluted, your whole life is going to be polluted.Make the decision today to go on a fast from negative, self-defeating thoughts. Cleanse your mind from what is harmful and fill yourself with thoughts of faith and victory. As you do, those good thoughts will strengthen and empower you to live the good life He has planned for you!
A Prayer for Today
Father in heaven, I come to You today willing to let go of anything that would hold me back from Your great promises. I choose to guard my thoughts and fill my heart with Your Word. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

This day of rest, I will continue to lean on Him - and He will make me strong. It is pretty amazing to know, that we will meet Jeremy very soon .... days or weeks - whatever the case, he will be here soon! And God has a perfect plan for Jeremy - All is well.
GRACE AND PEACE!

rest and wait

Bluntly: the fluid levels did not go up, in fact we are lower today then last Monday. But not enough to induce today. We go back Wednesday to check again. There is the possibility we will be admitted this week to induce labor. Or Check again Friday.

This was not the news Aaron and I wanted to hear, and we are trying to keep things in perspective. Our special nurse was available to talk today after our appointment - that made a huge difference. She did let us know that the next few days, weeks etc would be much tougher then the last few months. I shed a number of tears in that office today.

We completed our birth plan, and our bags will be packed tonight. We are both not exactly sure what God is teaching us right now - and how this experience will be used by Him, but we will continue to trust and walk in His Light.

I will take Tuesday and Wednesday off from work - then see what is in store for the reminder of the week. We are in a rest, wait and see mode. In a typical pregnancy I would be put on bed rest and not be allowed to work, we are in a different situation - with the T13, we will proceed day to day from here on out.

Fearfully & Wonderfully made

FROM Gods Promises for your Children ...

For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mothers womb.
I will prase You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; marvelous are Your works, and that my soul knows very well. Psalm 139:13-14

devotion: Unquestionalbly, the psalm containing this passage is one of David's most beautiful - a masterpiece of God-insipred truth. It celebrated God's involvement in the formation, both naturally and spiritually, of a child in the womb. Since the children of the righteous are usually consecrated to God prior to birth, the promises in this song of praise apply to them even more powerfully.

In the passage above, David calimed that the Most High actually formed his "inward parts". That could mean the organs of the body that are hidden from view, or it could mean the soul and the spirit (the human personality and spiritual compacity of a child). Probably, it means both. So one of God's "marvelous works" is the implanting of a predetermined personality that must be perfected and a potential spirituality that must be awakened in a child that is yet to be born. As parents, we are called to assist in this process.

In the next two verses, David thrust his spiritual perception into a futuristic mode. Prayerfully he declared, "Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in your book they all were written, the days fashioned for me, when as yet there were none of them " Psalm 139:15-16. So when a child is dedicatd to God, there is a providential plan that unfolds like a huge red carpet, stretching all the way from the womb to the grave, then onward into eternity. Contemplating these promises should cause us to conclude, as David did - "such knowledge is too wonderful for me" Psalm 139:6.

prayer: Lord God, I believe that my child has been "fearfully and wonderfully made." I confess that Your hand covers JEREMIAH PARKER SHELBY in the womb and that Your hand will cover him all the days of his life. I believe that You have fromed my child's "inward parts" (the potential personality and inner, spiritual capacity) I rest in this truth and pray that You will continue to involve Yourself in the soulish and spiritual development of my child, just as You involved Yourself in his physical development in the womb. Finally, I confess that the future of my child is not up to chance; You have a plan for JEREMY. I praise You for causing it to unfold perfectly according to Your pleasure. Such knowledge is so wonderful; it turns my heart upward in worship to You, O Lord of the past present and future. I declare victory in advance - In Jesus' name, AMEN (LET IT BE SO!)

Saturday was a good day, Jeremy was active and I was able to finish the 5 projects on my bead table, take a nap, attend church and a birthday party ... I did not get the room packed up - Today is the day, after Brookside Church ...

Please continue to pray for Jeremy's heart and the fluids in the womb to increase. I have not been feeling any braxton-hicks, today we hit the 36 week mark ... 4 more to go. Jeremy needs the most time in the safe place of the womb to prepare to enter the world ... 4 more weeks!

Tickles

We know that Jeremy is already head down, and has his hands by his face -or right in front of it ... for the last 3 days I have had many tickles in that area. I love it! Those movements along with the moving of the legs, hips and feet is GREAT! His movements seem to be consistent, and it is easy to get him to wake up and move.

Today, I should be finishing the move of my work space and clearing of Jeremy's room so it can be painted next week. Right now, I feel like I could go back to sleep, so today may be a mix of work then sleep. I am listening to my body, when it wants to rest - I rest. :)

Monday the 8th, we are having an ultra sound to check the fluids ... we want for them to be the same or up. My Dr said there is nothing that I can do, so I will just pray and drink more water. * even though that does not really help I feel like I am "doing" something.

From the book God's Promises for your Children:
"Take head that you do not despise one of these little ones, for I say to you that in heaven their angels always see the face of my Father, who is in heaven. " Matthew 18:10

devotion: When Jesus made this statement, evidently, He was referring to ALL children - not just the children of believers. First, He warned against any cruel treatment of the "little ones". Second, He revealed that one or more angels are assigned to each child; and that these heavenly beings consult with the Father concerning any adverse situations in that child's life. Apparently, these "guardian angels" are ever ready to request divine intervention or retribution. If this is true for ALL children, how much MORE the children of God's people! ( see Daniel 12:1-2)
Hebrews 1:7 explains that angels are "ministering spirits" sent forth to minister for the heirs of salvation. That means they work behind the scenes of your life to bring forth God's best in everything that pertains to you - most importantly, your children. Jesus confided that if He asked, the Father would have sent twelve legions of angels to defend Him from danger. Certainly He can do the same for any child committed to His care.

prayer: Lord God, You are the Lord of hosts, the God of an army of angels who are poised and ready for battle. I confess that at least one angel is assigned to constantly watch over JEREMIAH PARKER SHELBY, to insure divine protection and provision in his life. According to Your Word, many centuries ago, just one angel brought total defeat to the entire Assyrian army. So one angel in my child's life is sufficient to bring deliverance in every area of need. Yet I believe that there are many ministering spirits actively engaged in ministering to our family - that we might inherit ALL the benefits of salvation. I praise You that this very thing is taking place right now - in Jesus' Name, AMEN (let it be so!)

This is such a powerful book - Aaron and I will be picking a promise each night to speak over Jeremy, now and for his entire life ... and for all our children to come.

Brave

I had to share the lyrics to one of the songs that lifted me up yesterday ...
Brave, by Nichole Nordeman

The gate is wide, the road is paved in moderation.
The crowd is kind and quick to pull you in.
Welcome to the middle ground, its safe and sound
and until now it is where I have been.
Cause its been fear that ties me down to everything.
But it has been love, your love that cuts the string.

So long to status quo, I think I just let go.
You make me wanna be brave.
The way it always was is no longer good enough.
You make me wanna be brave.
BRAVE

I am small and I speak when I am spoken to
But I am willing to risk it all
I say your name, just your name
and I am ready to jump
even ready to fall.

Why did I tke this cloud of comprimise?
Why did I try tokeep it all inside?

So long status quo, I htink I just let go
You make me wanna be brave
The way it always was is no longer good enough
You make me wanna be brave
BRAVE BRAVE

I've never known a fire that did not begin with a flame
Every storm will start with just a drop of rain
But if you believe in me,
that changes everything.

So let go ....
So long status quo, I htink I just let go.
You make me wanna be brave.
I wanna be brave
The way is always was is no longer good enough
You make me wanna be brave
BRAVE
BRAVE
BRAVE

:) love it!!!!!!!!

Isaiah

Before they call I will answer; while they are still speaking I will hear. Isaiah 65:24

prayer: Lord, I thank you for hearing my prayers and even before I call, you have set yourself to answer.

This passage makes me think of the many times I have picked up the phone before it rings, and the person I was going to call is on the line. They were calling me - just as I was calling them. That is how God works too. HE is always already on the line.

There have been a number of times over the past few months that I have been having a rough day, and then there is some one placed on my path, that provides encouragement - when they had no idea that I was needing encouragement. That is God answering prayers, he does it all the time. We simply need to keep our eyes and hearts open to witness the answers.

THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR PRAYERS!
Please continue, Aaron and I feel them - Jeremy too.  God is in the business of answering them!

just a glimpse ....

just one of the MANY images jess took ... more to follow:)

making sacrifices

This morning I was reading in the bible the story of Abraham and Sarah, the promise of a child ... and continued to read through the story of Abraham and Isaac, Genesis 22:1-19, along with one of Stormies  going deeper ...

"Sometime later God tested Abraham. HE said to him. 'Abraham!' 'Here I am,' he replied. Then God said, ' Take your son, your only son, Isaac, whom you love, and go to the region of Moriah. Sacrifice him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains I will tell you about.' Early the next morning Abraham got up and saddled his donkey..." Genesis 22:1-3

Sometimes God asks the strangest things. Noah had to build and ark miles away from any body of water and put in stalls that would somehow be filled with animals.

But nothing quite matches the task given to Abraham. Not only did God ask him to kill his son, God was taking away from Abraham that answer to the promise he had waited 25 years to receive. Isaac was Abraham's heir, the child promised to Abraham and Sarah, the child born in their old age. For Isaac to die would also kill the dream.

Or would it?

IT seems that Abraham did not waste anytime worrying about it. HE got up early the next morning, saddled his donkey, roused the sleepy boy and 2 servants, cut some wood, and set out for the 3 day journey. What went through his mind during those 3 long day? I imagine that Abraham talked to God a lot.. And such was Abraham's relationship with God that he trusted God. He did not understand, he knew that obeying God would hurt him to the core, but he kept right on walking. He kept right on obeying. When he got to the place, he built the alter, bound his son, laid him on the alter, and raised the knife.

Could any of us trust God that much?

Our hearts wince at the thought of sacrificing a human being. But we would be wise to consider how this story gives an astounding picture of what God HIMSELF would do for us. As Isaac carried the wood for the burnt offering, so Jesus carried His own cross. As Abraham placed Isaac on the alter, so God placed His Son on the cross. AS Abraham raised his knife in order to kill his son in obedience to Gd, so God allowed Jesus to be put to death so that sin could be punished and forgiveness could be given. Abraham knew that God would provide the lamb for the offering. (22:8) Many years later, He did John the Baptist pointed this out to his followers; "Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!" (John 2.29).

How much do you trust God - REALLY? Enough to die for Him? Enough to let a dream in your life die? How about enough to live for Him?

So why did this stand out to me today ... Last night I attended the first Ladies Ministry Christmas Celebrate at Brookside Community Church. Liz, the women's ministry director, spoke on the greatest gift we have ever received - Jesus. Reading the story of Abraham and Isaac reinforced for me the power of that Gift.
Although Jeremy is not here yet, I am able to relate to Abraham. I will walk in trust and obedience to Gods will for me and my family. MY drive into school today was very emotional, and I always let the tears fall. I will walk in faith that God does have my heart in his palm, and he will take care of me. Through everything. During the drive, I was listening to the radio, the new car has XM, and I found The Message, contemporary christian music ... three songs hit me particularly strong today and I will be going to iTunes later to add them to my collection.
- Nicole Nordema, BRAVE
- LincolnBrewster, Today is the Day
- 33 Miles, Thank You

Just what I needed, my tears started with sadness, then changed to praise, thanksgiving and pure joy!
Continue to walk in faith, trust and obedience - all things are possible with God.

GRACE AND PEACE!

Powerful Tuesday Night!

Yesterday was awesome, no other way to state it.

The school day was regular, and that means good. Nothing out of the ordinary, which can sometimes be the case after a holiday weekend and heading into Finals. After school, I headed to my Parents to show off the new car, my mother approved of the color and the "grown up car". Then it was home to meet Aaron and go to the church to meet with NVCL's prayer ministry team. When Aaron first came on staff at the church, he sought out this ministry to be part of his support system. This is a group of people that are truly gifted at praying. They are amazing people with great stories as well. We had been invited to attend the meeting so they could lay hands and pray for our family. Of course, we did not pass up that opportunity.

When we arrived, we shared with the group all that has been going on with the pregnancy. We received a book "God's Promises for your Children", it is a devotional filled with the Word and how to use the Word to effectively pray, specifically for your children. We spent almost 2 hours being lifted in prayer. The entire time, Jeremy was moving and kicking receiving all that was being spoken over him and around him.

"The Lord will perfect that which concerns me" Psalm 138:8
We laid hands on my belly, stating "You are perfect Jeremy, you concern me, therefore you are perfect."
This was the prayer of another mother when given news regarding her pregnancy, the doctors had suggested the best thing to do would be to terminate the pregnancy. They chose not to, and had a "perfect" little girl.

"death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit" Proverbs 18:21
Often I hear from people, you are so positive regarding your prognosis, and I reply - we  have two choices ... I chose to trust God and walk in Faith that he will provide all I need. This is not the time to be a negative Nelly, or woe is me - how would that help Jeremy. I am given this time, right now to take care of this little guy. I am going to do all I can to make this part of his life the best.  I chose to have positive, life giving words, to those around me and to Jeremy.  Speak with boldness - often, life giving words.
I know that God will take care of me (and my Family), it is His will not my own that will perfect our lives.

The Lord is good ... and this world is small.
I just heard from our photographer that our sneak peak will be up soon. She also shared that she already has worked with our special nurse! They already have a relationship - how amazing is that! I look forward to posting the images - of Aaron and I, then in a few weeks of our entire family!

Final thought: Be at Peace ....
Come into quietness and peace. Be at peace with where you are, and what I've called you to do. Be at peace with the ones I've brought into your life.

Sorry for the Delay!

Long time no post - All is well! I just have not had time to sit and write a post.

The weekend went way to quick, packing up the bead room and then getting out the Christmas tree. I was not going to do that - but thanks to my sister and dear friend (who both offered to help take it down) it is up:) And boy do I love Christmas lights.
PRAISE ... Saturday I was unable to sleep, not because Jeremy was not moving - but he was dancing! From about 9:30 pm until 2am he was all over the place. Yes, I was tired - but that was awesome.

Monday we had an appointment (ultra sound and Dr) Jeremy's heartbeat is great, but do continue to pray for his heart. The left side is still small. And the fluids are low. There is nothing on my end that I can do to increase these levels ... but I will return next Monday for an ultra sound to check levels again. If they drop to far we will induce and meet Jeremy early.
Otherwise, he is still growing and weighs 5lbs 6oz - right on track for 35 weeks.

Following the appointment Aaron and I met with our Special Nurse and went on a tour of Labor and Delivery and the NICU. She showed us where to go when we arrive, what the rooms will be like, where our family/friends/visitors can hang out. We spent some time in the NICU, but our plan is to have the NICU come to us, and keep our family together. SOUNDS GREAT TO US!
We felt very good after talking with our Special Nurse and walking through the area. It was also nice to revisit the same place my sister just delivered in September.

The day did not end there ... we had lunch then went over to Bill Estes Chevy - We arrived about 2pm, leaving about 6:30 pm with a new car. '09 Malibu. The "wicked" Commander is gone. We decided to keep the Yellow Jeep, we will own it in 2 months - then have only one car payment - boy am I happy. The Malibu is Sea Mist, this is a pale green. Color was not very important to me but I do like this one - I was most concerned about the price point and our monthly payment. Aaron's father works for GM, and you can not beat the employee discount - WOW! What a true blessing. I must admit, I felt like I was cheating on the Wrangler driving the Malibu home. Aaron allowed me to drive stating "It's your car" that is wild - I know we will enjoy this vehicle. FYI - the Malibu has been rated higher then the Accord and Camry AWESOME for an American Car.

We finally got home at 8pm, had dinner and were in bed by 9:30. Monday was eventful - I am curious what the reminder of the week will bring.

I have "mentally" packed my hospital bag, I suppose I need to work on putting that together for real.

Special Praise and Thanks to everyone that has sent Aaron and I emails and cards of encouragement - that is so helpful and reminds us of the Body of Christ and just how powerful the Kingdom is. God is doing amazing things in all of our lives - I am amazed by Him daily. My Father-In_Law told me that he had a conversation with some guys at work the other day , because one made a statement that God does not do things like he did in the Bible any more - We both had a chuckle, all you have to do is stop, look around and you see multiple ways in which God is moving, working and creating miracles EVERYDAY! I am pretty sure he set the guy straight.
