Unfailing Faith

"But I have prayed for you, Simon, that your faith may not fail. And when you have turned back, strengthen your brothers " Luke 22:23

Jesus, during the last supper while talking with the 12, specifically told Simon Peter that he would deny Jesus 3 times, but reassured him that he had been praying for his faith to bring him trough the troubles. While Simon Peter did deny Jesus and failed that important test, his faith did not fail. His faith was not in works, or in himself, it was in Jesus and he went on to lead the first century church - even after his failure during Christs trial. Jesus found that his prayer was answered . Peters Faith did not fail.

This was in my morning reading today, and it continues to reassure me that when my mind and heart have issues dealing with an overwhelming sadness and questions - that I have a foundation of faith. Even when I do not feel strong, I pray that my faith will stay strong and my foundation will remain solid.

This is a prayer that I choose to lift up to Our Father, for all Prayer Warriors, that your faith will remain strong and will not fail.

GRACE AND PEACE!

I just LOVE all of your messages. I am SO excited about the photography. I had spoken to rick about this and wanted this so bad for you. If you have trouble finding someone in that program let me know and I can give you some names of photographers as well. All my love to you, aaron and jeremy. Hugs

I am praying this for you, too, that you would have an unshakeable, immovable faith in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ...no matter the circumstances. People are watching and noticing how you and Aaron walk through this...and I know the Father must be so proud of you. Stay strong and keep clinging to Christ. Still praying...

Dear Shelby Family,

I just wanted to say that first of all I am sorry you have to travel this difficult road with the trisomy 13 diagnosis. I truly know all that you are going through because I was in your position not too long ago. My son, Corbin, was born May 18th, 2007 with full trisomy 13. I will be praying for your family. I have to say that Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep is an amazing organization and without their services I would probably have very little of Corbin to hang on to. The photographer was absolutely AMAZING. I also made plaster molds of Corbin's hands and feet which I ocassionaly hold when I miss him so much. There are several other resources you may be interested in if you would like to get in touch with me I would be more than happy to help you find them and connect you to the appropriate people. Have you looked at www.livingiwthtrisomy13.org yet? You can join the message boards there also and talk to lots of other trisomy 13 moms who are blessed enough to still have their miracles with them beating all the odds as well as those like myself who have had to say goodbye. It's definately an emotional road that you shouldn't have to travel without as much support as possible. You can reach me at softball_chik51@yahoo.com if you need anything at all. God bless!
